Order for a Dieffenbacher Pellet Press

Dieffenbacher has received an order from ffk environment GmbH to design a new pellet plant and supply the main pelletizing (Dieffenbacher PelletPress) and size reduction (ClassiSizer) components for the different raw materials. ffk is an expert in the manufacture of environmentally friendly alternative fuels made from waste products..  The state-of-the-art pellet plant will be at Forst (Lausitz), Germany and will manufacture composite pellets from waste materials. Production is scheduled to begin in October 2012.

Dieffenbacher was able to offer the ideal reduction and pelletizing solution for the production of the composite pellets with two of its products, the PelletPress and the ClassiSizer. During composite pellet production, ffk processes biomass and other organic materials such as nut shells, wood, straw or green with a varying proportion of brown coal, black coal, and pet coke.

Using the innovative and energy-efficient impact sizing concept, the two ClassiSizers break down the raw materials and produce pelletizable material in different particle sizes. The Dieffenbacher PelletPress produces composite pellets with a diameter of 25 millimeters and has a capacity of ten tons per hour in this application.

Composite pellets are used for environmentally friendly energy production and can be used as a replacement for black and brown coal to enable low-carbon energy production.  Energy producers are the main customers for composite pellets.
