New ClassiFormer technology hits Ligna 2009

Dieffenbacher Panelboard Oy, a subsidiary of Dieffenbacher GmbH + Co. KG, presents a new member of the ClassiFormer forming station family: the ClassiFormer™ SX for surface forming.

The ClassiFormer SX combines the best features of mechanical and wind-forming. It has been developed to meet the requirements of producers who require the highest panel surface quality for further finishing, yet maintaining excellent and stable forming accuracy.

The renowned Diamond Roll forming now accompanies a technology that utilizes air-assisted particle separation. The patented set-up controls an air stream to maintain constant and high forming accuracy. This carefully engineered forming configuration produces very fine and non-porous surface layers.

A German particleboard mill has been successfully operating the first full ClassiFormer SX station since September 2008.

Dieffenbacher’s ClassiFormer product family now features altogether seven different types of forming stations, all available to meet and exceed the various requirements of particleboard producers worldwide.
