Dieffenbacher is successful with thin board lines
To date, Dieffenbacher has delivered more than 30 thin fiberboard lines – with board thicknesses below 6 mm – and therefore has a lot of experience with high-speed thin fiberboard lines. The market success has been achieved by consistently developing machines on which THDF boards can be manufactured with low raw material costs in various grades. The Dieffenbacher THDF board line is the result of focused equipment and technology development oriented to the quality requirements of the board. The Dieffensor is a component of the Dieffenbacher thin board concept. This online measuring device prevents unwanted objects from getting into the press, and therefore extends the service life of the steel belts. In addition, the continuous full-surface density information from the Dieffensor allows automatic optimization of fiber spreading.
Benefits
THDF Line designed for high board quality and production speed up to 2.000 mm/s by:
- Avoiding of fiber agglomerates and glue lumps by specially designed dissolving and control technique integrated into the area of fiber bin and spreading head
- Minimized area weight fluctuations by “gentle” laying of the fiber fleece over the full width of the forming belt without disturbing turbulent air
- High spreading accuracy in longitudinal and perpendicular direction
- Staggered pressing forces in the continuous prepress for a homogenous, compact mat
- Continuous, short hot press CPS in special design for THDF production :
- Long in feed zone for simultaneous first mat contact above and below, no “blow backs”
- Double hinge in the lower in feed section for efficient mat degassing and precise adjustment of the optimum densification geometry
- Narrow thickness tolerance, low sanding allowance
- Fine tuning of the board cross profile by “Multipot” cushion underneath of lower heating plate area
- Sextuple diagonal saw for 2.400 mm panel length at 2.000 mm/s operating speed
- Specially designed systems for mat spraying, surface steam preheating and for efficient protection of press and steel belts
