Sunds MDF to deliver Dryer, Z-sifter and an EVOjet™ to Berneck, Brazil

Sunds MDF Technologies has been selected as a supplier of equipment for a new production plant to Berneck S.A. in Curitibanos, Santa Catarina. The plant is to produce MDF and is scheduled for start-up in second half of 2011.

The delivery includes dryer, Z-sifter and the unique EVOjet™ system for dry resin blending. In addition, the scope of supply includes process automation for Sunds systems and equipment, as well as engineering services, such installation and start-up supervision.

This is Berneck’s second dryer and sifter from Sunds MDF Technologies. The first dryer and sifter were supplied to the Araucaria MDF/HDF plant and at that time supplied under the Metso banner.

The new MDF plant is designed for a front end capacity of 40 t/h fiber.

Berneck is a leading panel producer in Brazil. At the Araucaria site, the company operates MDF/HDF-line, a particleboard line, added value operations and a sawmill.
