Dieffenbacher Summer Festival Captivates Nearly 2000 People
Last year, Dieffenbacher GmbH Maschinen- und Anlagenbau was able to look back on a company history spanning 140 years. At an event held last Saturday, July 12, 2014, the blue carpet was rolled out for all associates of the company and their families, as well as all former associates. Almost 2000 attentive and cheerful visitors accepted the invitation to the Dieffenbacher Summer Festival and braved the rather mixed weather.
During months of planning, a varied program was devised for the festival and there was something for everyone. Visitors interested in the company could choose to take part in the guided tours of the production site. Alternatively, they could get the ball rolling themselves in a human table soccer tournament, find themselves chuckling at cabaret artist Oliver Tissot, or tap along to the music of "Mr. Hot And The Funky Pepperonies".
A short journey back in time traveling through the 140 year history of the company was one of the highlights of the event for many. Inside a 16 meter long room, visitors could learn in detail about each milestone in the company's history—from its founding in 1873 up to the present day—and clearly recognize how the company has continued to develop throughout its past.
For Dieffenbacher associates, the festival was also a reward for their efforts and energy over the last few years. "A fantastic festival that I would love to see repeated in the near future," said one associate —a comment that gained approval from all those present.
