6. Dieffenbacher Health Day
On April 10, 2018, the company’s sixth Health Day at the corporate headquarters in Eppingen focused on the topic of motion and inner equilibrium. Experts from the AOK and Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) health insurance agencies, whom Dieffenbacher cooperates with, informed employees about the importance of posture, mobility and equilibrium through various exercises and lectures. During the posture diagnosis, TK experts examined various employees’ postures. Employees were then given individual recommendations to improve posture and prevent the negative consequences of bad posture.
Other Health Day highlights included relaxing in an innovative motion device provided by AOK and use of the ICAROS from TK, a fitness trainer, flight simulator and virtual reality device all in one. While body tension and musculature were exercised using the training device, employees flew through a glacial landscape using virtual reality goggles. In a lecture titled "Live balanced," AOK employees provided attendees with tips for the healthy handling of stressful situations during their daily routine and difficult life circumstances.
With Dieffenbacher’s Health Pass, company employees at the Eppingen site may participate in health seminars and exercises designed to promote health and fitness. Participants receive stamps on these passes for their commitment, which, in addition to helping promote their own well-being, gives them the chance to win prizes. The main raffle for the prizes takes place annually during Health Day. This year the winner received a voucher from Jochen Schweizer for a leisure activity or short trip.
