Two CPS+ orders within two months
The Metro-Ply Group is the largest wood-based panel manufacturer in Thailand. In April 2015, before the official presentation at Ligna, Metro-Ply became the first company to order the newly developed CPS+ continuous press from Dieffenbacher. Only two months later, in June of the same year, Metro-Ply subsidiary Advance Fiber placed a second CPS+ order with Dieffenbacher. Both CPS+ plants went into operation in the first half of 2017.
In Prachinburi, Thailand, the CPS+ is part of Metro-Ply’s new "PB Line 3" particleboard plant, which has an annual capacity of over 600,000 m³. In addition to the press, which is 2.65 meters wide and 40.5 meters long, Dieffenbacher supplied the drum dryer, the core layer sifter, the forming station with WindFormer—including roller deck, the forming line with prepress, the entire raw board handling system and the automated raw board storage system.
The second CPS+ produces THDF boards for Advance Fiber in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. It is 28.5 meters long and 2.65 meters wide. The scope of supply also included a fiber dryer, the Z-sifter, the forming station with scalper and Dieffensor, the raw board handling system, a Lukki storage system and the sanding line.
